Britain's Emma Raducanu has withdrawn from the last two tournaments of the year as a result of the illness she has been battling for the last week and a half.
Raducanu, aged 22 had planned to participate in events in Asia but has decided to fly home to regain her health before starting next year's training.
These plans are set to feature trainer Francisco Roig, as both individuals have agreed to work together in 2026.
The tennis professional underwent blood pressure monitoring in her opening round against Ann Li in the Wuhan tournament and stopped playing when trailing 6-1 4-1 on a day with extreme humidity.
Another medical visit was necessary a visit from the doctor at the recent Ningbo Open, where she lost in three sets to local wildcard Zhu Lin in round one.
She was also playing noticeably restricted in the third set versus Zhu owing to back discomfort that has been a concern during parts of the season.
Those results followed a positive campaign, in which Raducanu rose into the international top 30 after a long gap for the first time since 2022, ended with three successive defeats.

Her coach was Mark Petchey between Miami and Wimbledon, with Roig taking over for the US Open.
