Officials from Europe including Emmanuel Macron charged the US administration of “bullying and threats”, after the travel bans were placed on individuals who have been at the heart of efforts to introduce laws governing American tech companies.
“For too long, ideologues in Europe have spearheaded coordinated campaigns to coerce American platforms to punish US perspectives they disagree with,” stated the US secretary of state online. “This government will no longer tolerate these egregious acts of censorship beyond its borders.”
