Devoted supporters of the actress are urging that a person who leaped a barricade and touched the celebrity during yesterday's Wicked: For Good premiere be detained or deported from Singapore.

A circulating video shows the person identified as Johnson Wen shoving aside media personnel and charging at Grande while the actors walked down a event pathway flanked by supporters.

Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo quickly pulled the stunned star away from Mr Wen, who was seen being led away of the event by event staff.

Mr Wen shared on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "released after being arrested", though court documents revealed that he was due to appear on the next day. It is not clear if he was charged.

History of Disruptions

This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Troll Most Hated", has invaded a celebrity gathering. His Instagram profile includes clips of him disturbing other high-profile occasions, including jumping on stage at the pop singer's Sydney concert in recently and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers event in the city last year.

"There needs to be action enforced against him as this is obviously a punishable act," wrote an Instagram user, in a response to a video Mr Wen shared of his act.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" another Instagram user questioned.

Followers Express Concern Over Grande's Well-being

Numerous supporters accused Mr Wen for "triggering past anxiety" Grande, who had revealed suffering from trauma-related anxiety after a devastating incident at the conclusion of her spring 2017 show in Manchester, claiming the lives of 22 people and injuring hundreds.

"After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" commented a further message on Instagram.

Some attendees also faulted guards at the gathering for not being adequately prepared; while others called for digital services to block Mr Wen's videos.

Response and Event Details

In videos circulating online, Grande appeared surprised when she was approached by the man. Her co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed reassuring her while Mr Wen was escorted away by security.

Grande has not issued a statement on the situation, and the remaining proceedings continued without further issues.

Many of fans had assembled in a sea of green and pink at the Wicked: For Good international premiere in a Singapore venue, including a number who had waited for as long as a significant duration before it began.

The musical itself is a spin-off of the 1900 story The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who acts as the good witch Glinda, was decked out in a champagne pink sequin dress at the gathering while Erivo, who portrays the wicked witch, wore a elegant ensemble decorated with roses.

They were alongside fellow actor Jeff Goldblum.

The initial film, Wicked, was the highest-grossing movie of the previous year in the UK, and earned a dozen award recognitions, earning several for excellent wardrobe and set decoration.
